DIY Doctor is an own brand range of DIY, home improvement and garden products, made and sold by Ideal Direct Limited from our warehouse in Kent.
What we sell
We make the everyday things that jobs stall on. Double sided carpet tape and rug grippers for rugs that will not stay put. Aluminium backed butyl tape for a leaking roof or gutter. Scaffold board shelf brackets, drawer repair kits, furniture sliders, thorn proof leather gardening gloves and forged steel hand tools.
Everything on this site is our own brand. That is deliberate. Because we specify the products ourselves rather than reselling someone else's, we control what goes into them and what they cost, which is how we keep the quality where a tradesperson would want it and the price where a homeowner would want it.
Trading since 2001
DIY Doctor is a brand of Ideal Direct Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 04183585, incorporated in March 2001. Our registered office and our warehouse are the same building: Unit B1/B2, Knights Park, Knights Road, Strood, Rochester, Kent, ME2 2LS.
Our products are also sold on Amazon UK. Buying here is buying direct from us.
We pick and pack our own orders
Orders leave our own warehouse in Kent on a tracked service, not a third party fulfilment centre. Delivery is free on every order with no minimum spend, and most parcels arrive the next day. Full details are on our delivery and returns page.
We tell you how to do the job
Selling a roll of tape is not much use if nobody explains where it goes. Our product pages and guides set out how to do the job properly, what to prepare first, and where people usually go wrong. If a job needs a qualified tradesperson, we will say so rather than sell you something that will not fix it.
